How is developing good technique a waste of time? look at the best players ever:- Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Best etc they all had great technique and they could all win games.

@richmondballer20 There is no denying that English football has been going down hill, but!! And its a big BUTT! Theres plenty of skill, touch and precision coming through. I know a young player that got knocked back and was told he wouldnt make it anywhere in the UK because of his lack of strength but got taken up in Spain. True, he wasnt English but he was over here for trials.

Which is why the English teams are no match for barcelona or real madrid. Who practice skill, touch, and precision. Not Strength.

Cesc Fabregas training when he was a kid :P

@goodaspele @aura511 coerver's philosophy to create ball mastery & skills through repitition and then use them within mini group work & SSG's is outstanding in relation to skill acquisition theory. However, I can see your point if you mean that practices could be slightly more inclusive and game-related rather than using short queues. I would strongly disagree that Coerver's methods 'out of date' or 'faded out' though...

@agent333322 Hi Agent ... these lads are players from Pro Am Soccer Coaching Ltd's Elite Academy. At the time of filming (2004) the Academy was run by Cliff Macdonald (Director of Coerver Coaching Essex). He now owns and operates the Pro Am Academy using the TEKSPELER Coaching Method, focusing on the technical aspects of Ball Mastery, Moves, Speed and Small Group Play. 7 of these kids now play Semi-Pro standard and 3 of them have become coaches themselves. Glad you like the vids and take care
