DX GoGo Gattai Daibouken! DX 轟轟合体ダイボウケン!

Well, here we go. Notoriously i'm not a fan of Blowkenjerks...Boukenger...but these mecha videos I make are just that, videos. I'm not here to review the mecha or the series aside from a few critiques that I usually add toward the bottom. So let's get this video started.

DX Daibouken is the combination of the first five GoGo Vehicle (ゴーゴービークル). Daibouken consists of...

1. GoGo Dump
2. GoGo Formula
3. GoGo Gyro
4. GoGo Dozer
5. GoGo Marine

1. ゴーゴーダンプ
2. ゴーゴーフォーミュラ
3. ゴーゴージャイロ
4. ゴーゴードーザー
5. ゴーゴーマリン

Included with Daibouken is the Go Scooper (ゴースコッパー) and Go Picker (ゴーピッカー) which combine to form the sword, the GoGo Ken (轟轟剣,).

The five vehicles can also combine into the Trailer Formation (トレーラーフォーメーション) though I don't recall this ever being used in the show.

Daibouken can combine with other vehicles to form such combinations as Super Daibouken (スーパーダイボウケン) and Ultimate Daibouken (アルティメットダイボウケン).

So, what can I say about this toy? For starters...it looks unfinished. Looking back on it, it's easy to see why. They obviously had big plans for a massive combination. Ultimate Daibouken is the first mecha to really take the concept of combinations to a point it should never venture. Thanks to the unfortunite popularity of such massive combinations (abominations) we now have hideous mecha such as Engineoh G12 (エンジンオーＧ12) and the Shinkenger's Samurai Haoh (サムライハオー) line-up. This trend will unfortunitely continue well into the future through series like Tensou Sentai Goseiger (天装戦隊ゴセイジャー) and beyond.

So, to sum it up...this mecha is VERY incomplete on it's own. I can only give it credit for it's swivel head, which is a nice touch.

Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive saw Daibouken released in it's Megazord line as Drivemax Megazord. This Megazord is far inferior to it's Super Sentai counterpart in terms of quality.

Daibouken also saw a release in South Korea under the Power Rangers Treasure Force line.
