The actor who plays Dumbledore now is SO horribly cast, I can't really expect him to do anything differently because he's fucked up the character so bad already. It's such a shame because everyone else is so perfectly cast.

I don't like the new Dumbledore either. I liked the Dumbledore from the first two movies. He was perfectly cast... but... he died. :[ the original casting directors knew what they were doing.

I don't think the actor has to change in any way just because Dumbledore is gay. Not every man who is gay acutally behaves like - well, like anybody thinks he SHOULD behave. There are also many men who are homosexual and you could never tell they are (I have a friend who behaves like every other man, but in fact he is gay). For me, Dumbledore is still the old, wise man, gay or not.

Well, I started reading the books right around the time that she said it. It really makes sence know that I think about it. Anyway, I think its really good that she waited this long because there are allot of homophobic people who read Harry Potter and this is a good way to try and make them a little less shallow. Score one for equality.
