Introduction of the Louis Bonduelle Foundation Conference

Christophe Bonduelle, President of the Louis Bonduelle Foundation, presents the programme of the Louis Bonduelle Foundation Conference on 10 May 2011 in Paris.

Several lectures were conducted by nutrition experts on the theme: "Mankind's relationship with food: past, present and future".
Serge Hercberg, Director of the INSERM/INRA/CNAM/Paris13 research unit in nutritional epidemiology, first presented the place of research epidemiology in nutrition, using the example of the NutriNet-Santé cohort.

Pascal Picq, Paleoanthropologist at the Collège de France, then spoke on the topic of human dietary patterns.

Martine Padilla, Expert in food safety, nutritional behaviours and public policy, demonstrated the degree to which food is central to the current changes in consumption.

Christophe Bonduelle highlighted the involvement of the Louis Bonduelle Foundation in nutritional issues.

Michel Martel came from Québec to present the project of his association "La Corne d'Abondance" entitled "Young Leaders".

Pascale Isnard, Child psychiatrist, AP-HP Robert Debré Hospital, presented her thesis, financed by the 2010 ECOG prize: "Psychopathology and obesity in the child and adolescent".

Géraldine Comoretto, University of Versailles St Quentin-en-Yvelines, ALISS - INRA Laboratory and Winner of the Louis Bonduelle 2009 Research Prize, also presented her research thesis, "Childhood dietary socialisation: between family, school and the media".

Laurence Depezay, Nutritionist of the Louis Bonduelle Foundation, and Daniel Vielfaure, Chief Executive Office of the Bonduelle Group, concluded the morning of presentations by awarding the Louis Bonduelle 2011 Research Prize to two winners.
