Follows US-29 North SW of Metro Atlanta from Fairburn past the GA-14 Conn Exit.

More of another test video with the new HD Camera but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

  • Those gas prices were pretty!!! Wish they were like that now!

  • It looks hot as hell out their

  • 18 cent difference in just over a week. Blah.

  • Gosh, now that I rewatched this video, why does Roosevelt Hwy(US 29) very strangely remind me of Main Street/Jonesboro Road(GA 54) that runs through Jonesboro and Clayton County, but with less development than GA 54 has? And I'll make an educated guess it probably has less traffic, too.

  • Thank you!

I use a Sony HDR-HC9 (MiniDV) the footage was filmed in 1440x1080 and uploaded in 1280x720.

  • Well I guess it's 720p. What HD camera do you use?

  • What frame size is the video you uploaded? Watching it full screen was a real pleasure, and the song fits the laid-back ride. Thanks for it!

  • Didn't you film that in one of your videos? That might've I-10, though.

  • And who can forget the Bankhead Tunnel (US-90) in Mobile Alabama :)

  • As an aside, that's where the rapper T.I.'s from -- Bankhead (located along U.S. 78/278/S.R. 8).

  • Thanks!

Bankhead has nothing to do with Buckhead in any way, shape or form. Bankhead is a neighborhood (a very rough one at that) west of Atlanta.

  • I always wondered is Bankhead a real neighborhood in Atlanta or is it a nickname for Buckhead?, lol sorry i know it has nothing to do with the video which is awesome by the way gotta love the HD

  • Your HD camcorder is awesome; enlarging the video to full screen allows me to see so many details; it really is like I'm actually behind the wheel.

  • Can't remember that exact bookstore, but I remember Waldenbooks being next to Sears.

The only thing by Rich's that used to interest me was -- drumroll, please -- KB Toys (lol).

  • There was a bookstore there back in the day (forgot the name, it was near Rich's) that was worth the 30+ minute ride down, yeah it is pretty sad now.

  • Yeah, it's amazing how far that mall has fallen off. Sad really. :-(

  • Yes, the Shannon Mall area, which is dying a slow death it seems.

  • You should make a video following US-29 south from downtown ATL to Newnan. It's a neat drive to see how quick everything changes.

  • Yes, it is pretty odd how undeveloped that area of Fulton is compared to the rest. I've been on 138 off of the 85 exit, and it is all businesses and restaurants. I was suprised how rural Union City was at US-29. I'm originally from LaGrange, and down there the train tracks still follow US-29 up till the AL border in West Point.

  • US 29 becomes a divided highway in my homestate of virginia.
