don't ever understand how note-taking app on an ios device is at all a good idea if you cannot rest your hand on the screen.

I takes notes on my iPad also for school, but I don't have any math or science, so all I need is keyboard. I'm a criminology and psychology major, but for anyone doing math or science and stylus would definitely be necessary.

This is oddly similar to a technology that used to be around; comprised of pen/pencil and paper. While not as advanced, was very practical. All sarcasm aside, I appreciate the iPad, this just seems a little over the top for what ... really is just an old fashioned notebook and writing tool.
