Singapore Cowboy

i felt in love with this song when i first heard it. i reallly miss those good old days at peacork lounge.

I was stationed (U.S. Navy) in Singapore 77-79 and used to see Matthew Tan & the Mandarins at the Shangri-la Hotel. I haven't been back there since 1989 ... still miss Singapore and my friends there.

Anybody in Singapore would volunteer to let us know if Matthew and the Mandarin are still performing and if so where in Singapore?

He is now playing on Wednesday at Singapore Swimming Club and Friday at Serangon Garden Country Club.

wonderful to find this. My husband worked in Singapore also went to see them a lot. Going to Singapore 27/3/09 to 4/4/09 - does anyone know if Matthew and the Mandarins are playing anywhere during tohose dates.  I would love to surprise my husband with a ticket we are going to Singapore for his 60th birthday

Supremely tallented band. I saw them many times in the Peacock lounge, Shangri-la hotel when I worked in Singapore in the early Eighties. Would love it if you were able to post my favourite - Ghostriders in the sky - no-one has done it better!
