Avon, Soolin and Tarrant are on a ship belonging to Cancer, a hitman hired by Servalan to kill them. Cancer was captured by them and restrained but by this point in the episode he has escaped and gone into hiding somewhere on the ship.

Piri, a former slave/dancer and complete wet, is also present.

Soolin gets one of her best lines and Avon & Tarrant have a row.

This is even more enjoyable when you discover later that the ship is bugged and Servalan is listening to every word.

From 'Assassin', an episode from Series Four, first broadcast 9th November 1981.

With Glynis Barber as Soolin, Paul Darrow as Avon, Steven Pacey as Tarrant and Caroline Holdaway as Piri.

  • @madeinengland1968 Coventry? Northern? Coventry is in the south from my point of view!

  • Might as well have Julian clary taking over from Blake!

  • I got every episode for Christmas and was sadly reminded how much Tarrant ruined it. Why were they trying to pass someone who was obviously the school runt with shoulders as wide as one of blakes biceps as 'macho' so does not work! The phoney awful accent to cover up his northern ( Coventry) accent is just nauseating and he can not act at all. Big mistake!

  • @maxipower2008 Good thing is, i got the series 4 boxset today so i will watch it

  • My girlfriend's sat through every episode with me. She still calls Soolin "Sooki"! lol

  • I love Soolin

  • I liked this episode. Very well thought out for its time. And avon was right all along.
