Master chief can jump like 15 feet into the air with his suit on, at that point he weighs a half ton, 1000 pounds (it's true, read the manual or books), this isn't even including extra equipment, weapons, or ammo which could easily be another 100+ pounds
if he can jump that high, he can flip.
actually, go Watch Halo legends: the package, another spartan in a bulkier version of the armor he wears now managed a flip gracefully, he himself might even do it in the same video.
