THE BLACK JEW DIALOGUES [Dialogues on Diversity]
For the past four years The Black-Jew Dialogues has toured colleges, high schools, theaters, and religious/community organizations across North America and the UK. They have been on the vanguard of what the show creators refer to as "a new and vital conversation about race and culture in a fast changing world; not just for the blacks and Jews, but for all people." The show's edgy nature gives the audience permission to deal with issues that might be considered taboo.
The Black-Jew Dialogues was written and performed by Emmy Award Winner Ron Jones and veteran performer Larry Jay Tish. This two-actor play deals with diversity and the history and nature of prejudice and racism, and has been praised for its ability to "get to the heart of what divides people." - Boston Globe
This laugh-out-loud play is a potent mix of sketches, improvisation, puppetry, video, and a game show. It sheds light on complicated issues in a way that resonates with students and provides them with an opportunity to exchange stories, experiences, and ideas around these issues with their peers.
