  • Yes, thanks for asking. She has asked that her reward chart be kept more private so she doesn't stand out from the other kids. We are having a good year. Fewer behaviors!! yay.

  • What a great video. Thank you! We are doing a very similar thing with our son on the spectrum. But I am going to share this with his teachers, just in case, we can do anything else.

  • is tess doing better in school

  • I see my boy in her so much.. I'm praying his diagnosis comes through so he can get the aid he so desperately needs.. :-(

  • WHERE DO YOU LIVE THAT YOU HAVE 1:1 HELP??? PLEASE I NEED TO FIND A BETTER SCHOOL MY SON IS NON VERBAL AND GET 1:3 RATIO...

  • Tess is so smart! :D I love her. She reminds me when I'm in school. It's hard, I'm in college now though. I'm an aspie. <3

  • I have used the same method for severely autistic students and it works wonderfully, however for my cousin (who just turned 18) it only worked in the beginning. The parents decided to homeschool her and her sister (both with autism) and let their other kids go to school. The oldest 2 (there are 7 kids total) are more well rounded and educated, the younger 5 deal w/ bullying, cliques, and meaningless paperwork. Sometimes, homeschooling is the right choice other times not.

  • This was fantastic to see other children who are like my son who is 7.What a wonderfully supportive school.Am going to suggest this system to my school as the current system is not working at all.

  • But what if she needs a break before she has earned all her points or has used up all her points? I can relate to not being modivated by grades though.

  • Loved this strategy.
