I am very sceptical of the King James Only doctrine because it leads down a road of false gospel. The Roman Catholic Church used the same system the King James Only doctrine uses today to control, and that is fear. If we paint everything that is contradictory to our human belief as evil then we can control the people. Knowledge is power and I think that an armoury of many translations of the Bible including KJV is necessary for fighting the devil. The Holy Spirit who is perfect is our guide.

@altaqqadum96 Amen,why would any English speaking person desire to use anything but an AV?I was raised on the NIV but found that reading it was like eating spaghetti w/o the sauce.Something was missing.I switched to the KJB several years ago.I will NEVER go back to reading an Alexandrian Bible.BTW,nice screen name.I was stationed at TQ in 2007&2008.

The argument against the modern versions has nothing to do w/modern language.The problem is that MV's are translated from completely different txts than Reformation era Bibles.The MV's are translated primarily from a super-minority of Uncial MSS,namely Aleph&B.These corrupt RCC MSS now make up the UBS Critical txt used by both protestants and catholics;bringing us one step closer to a One World Religion.If you want to investigate the corruption,read "The Revision Revised" by Dean Burgon.

@altaqqadum96 The KJVO myth is man-made and false. That's one reason we use other translations. Another isthat many of us prefer to read God's word in CURRENT language.

@gillamrl KJ didn't create the KJV; the translators were already in place during QE1's reign; the process was stalled when she died. KJ merely gave the Anglicans the go=ahead to make a new Englush translation.

@robycop3 Why does everyone make the assumption that all us KJV readers say only people that read the KJV can be saved? Look sir, im not saying that you have to read the KJV bible to become a christian, but after you read the KJV i dont know why any one would want to use another translation.

@exposingthemachine And this is where you fail. There was a man of God in James life who he had respect for . And this man persuaded him to do the right thing when creating the bible. KJV is God's . Anyone with true descernment will know this..
