Bryce & Aaron Dessner: Impromptu Jam at MusicNOW 2009

Bryce & Aaron Dessner of the National play an impromptu jam session with two guest players before the opening set of the 2009 MusicNOW festival on March 11 at Memorial Hall in Cincinnati, OH. The Dessners are joined by Tyondai Braxton (of the group Battles) on guitar and Richard Reed Parry (of Arcade Fire/Bell Orchestre fame) on piano. Both Braxton and Parry arranged compositions for Kronos Quartet which were performed later in the evening. Bryce Dessner is the curator of the now-annual MusicNOW event. This opening jam in the lounge area preceded main sets by The Books and Kronos Quartet.

Apologies for the quality; no one knew they were to play and I happened to be standing there when they sat down. All I had was my iPhone (with Cycorder), so the video and audio quality is pretty lousy.
