READ AFTER WATCHING!

Ok so this is our first ride since early December. I walked her around for 10 minutes then was going trot. I already knew that she would do something I just wasn't sure what. So I asked my mom to video. As you can see she was being speedy. The only reason I can figure out for her fall is that when she landed from the buck she slipped. Her knees slid along the ground and she bumped her nose. Because the footing is rubber and everything is wet and muddy from all the snow melting she didn't get hurt. If the surface had been harder she would have gotten hurt. As it is only her pride is hurt. Opal definitially has the embarresed pony look down pat. As you can see when I do an emergency dismount her knees are really muddy. After I got off I checked her legs over for scratches then hand jogged her. After that I hopped back on for 5 mins to do a little trot in each direction and walk a little. I washed her knees/nose off, then she got to hang out in a stall eating hay while she got over her ordeal =). Hopefully if I get to ride tomorrow things will be better.
