No need to stress over dessert ideas for your party. Chef Ryan Scott demonstrates how to make a delicious almond & pear tart in this video. To make this recipe, Ryan uses a store bought pre-made pie crust. In the next step, he places the pie crust in the baking dish and sets a sheet of parchment paper over it and fills the top with legumes or yellow lentils. These legumes act as a weight on the pie crust while baking it.

Use fresh pears to make the filling for this almond & pear tart. You can also use apples or peaches as a substitute. To assemble your tart, add the pears over the pie crust. Pour the almond mixture on top of the tart and place it in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 350 F. Once the tart is ready and has cooled off, place it on Pottery Barn's White Cake Stand before serving it to your guests.
