  • Surely taching your child about advertising and encouraging them to think and reason for themselves is far more practical than banning advertisements aimed at them. My young children have never had a happy meal nor do they want one even though they sit through hours of tv. I do not want my children to grow up having virtually every aspect of their lives regulated by the government.

  • @trancemanic I agree, it comes down to parenting, and there is no way to force people to raise their kids "properly." If parents don't care about their kids there is no amount of government decrees can fix the problems that come about.

  • Compulsive schooling is so destructive in terms of a child's ambition and desire to learn, that children find solace in entertainment and consumption. Parents tend to feel that school has done the job of education, so there's no problem in leaving children to themselves. Plus, inflation and regulation has increased prices, lowered wages, reduced jobs and increased working hours. This reduces the time parents can spend with their children.

  • @theVAGINAntichrist Why did you add an angry face? That's the first time I've seen that. You're an innovator.
