Theme from the Film - Born Free - 1966 - Composed by John Barry. The film is an adaptation of the true story written by Joy Adamson - Born Free about Elsa the Lion Cub in Kenya. This recording is by transgendered musician - Denise Hewitt - performed on a Technics PR903 Digital Keyboard.

The photo in the opening titles and closing credits was shot by Denise in Southern Africa in the deep rocky gorge of the Seweweekspoort in the Klein Karoo near the town of Calitzdorp. The photo shows a handsome male Klipspringer Antelope and his female partner perching on a rock just above Denise in the early morning sun!

  • May I get your approval to use this beautiful video on my soon to be launched website as an example of music played on a pipe organ. Thank you for your review of the above. Sincerely, Cheryl Williams, San Antonio, Tx.

  • @cwilliams177 - Hi Cheryl - I'm delighted you enjoyed my video! With regards to embedding my video on your website, you'll need to include a Copyright Notice that the Original Song & Lyrics - Born Free - is owned by the Composer - John Barry:) Warm Wishes and Good Luck! - Denise

  • Denise you have done it again, this was the first and only film i have cried over when i first saw it at a school film night when i was 15, more tears when watched you playing this.

God I am such a silly softie girl.

One of my hobbies is visitng and listening to pipe organs in cathedrals, pipe organ music really is so wonderful to listen to and now you are on my list.
