  • @TwinCreekStables, continuing... However, the MMB stopped performing with flipfolders about 15 years ago, which just means some of my friends and me probably would have a difficult time being in the band were we to do it again.

  • @TwinCreekStables, considering about 95 percent of the Michigan Marching Band then, like now, is non-music majors, the members have better things to study than their music. Also, the MMB prepares new shows for every home game, often in just five days. And some of us, like me, have a hard time memorizing music but have an easier time memorizing the drill.

  • It is from an 18-year-old VHS tape produced using 1991-era audio and video equipment. There's not much I can do about the source. But if you're talking about the volume during the part where the "flag" is waving, at any moment about half the band is facing away from the microphone so, yeah, the volume is going to be diminished.
