Clearly Bill Clinton has wanted this since the day he became President when he brought up the Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1993(tax increase) for vote, which retro-actively raised taxes, after Clinton ran on a middle class tax cut. In September 1993 talkradio, including Rush gave out the number to the capitol hill switchboard before the bill was passed, and callers melted the phone lines, calls at the time were 100-1 against raising taxes, Der Slick Mister never got over it, that was the beginning of the talk of bringing back the Fairness Doctrine

Rush Limbaugh is entertaining... Damn that guy for hosting a talk radio show that people actually want to tune in and listen to. A different type of demographic watch television and listen to the radio for their news. That's why liberals control television and conservatives control radio. Frankly I think both sides are wrong if they don't follow the constitution.

Neo-cons (neo-conservatives) are the variety that includes GWB, Cheney, Hannity, Rush, etc. They are heavy-handed interventionists, at home and abroad.

The traditional American conservative (now commonly called paleo-conservatives) were people who respected individual liberties, the Constitution and were non-interventionist.

Liberalism has a similar problem..it seems liberals unconcerned with civil liberties..e.g. Obama on FISA, Patriot Act.
