Not even close, but it's true that Edison didn't invent it. Many attempts before Edison's had been made, but failed to create a long-lasting and efficient bulb. Edison merely turned someone else's invention profitable and enticing to consumers.

true Edison made it work and of course made it enticing so naturally we gave him all the credit same with Cubism we give Picasso all the credit when it was actually Braque.
