i've seen this vid like 10 times now. great work. i'm obssesed w the 58 v and i'm attempting my first build. limba should b here anyday now. where'd u get the v tailpiece. thanks a lot for making this vid. i hope mine comes out as nice as yours

@peterhbyrne I got the tailpiece at wdmusic.com about 4 years ago...i tried to pick up another one there, but I couldn't find one, but maybe they have them again. Post some pictures when your's is done, I'd love to see it!

hey mike, love the vid. just starting a flying v build of my own, and i love the way the finish turned out on yours. could you just describe what kind of paint/finish you used, and the process for finishing?

@shademonger13 Yeah, it was just min-wax water based wood stain (the yellow color) that I painted on and sanded away a little...then I made a HUGE mistake and used Deft furniture lacquer for the actual finish. I ended up re-shaping the neck about a year later, and was able to cover the neck, headstock and back of the body with a proper guitar lacquer (lawrence mcfadden brand).
