Not only a 1936 hot tune, but a statement of personal and artistic ideology! The 82-year old reedman visits New York to play two sets with David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Centennial Band at Birdland: that's Dvid on tuba; Jon-Erik Kellso, trumpet; Harvey Tibbs, trombone; Ehud Asherie, piano; Marion Felder, drums -- with a special duet for singers Daryl Sherman and Pug Horton (Mrs. Wilber) -- all to honor Louis! Recorded by Michael Steinman (http://www.jazzlives.wordpress.com)
