You must click the watch in HD button on the bottom right. I have never seen so much detail on a pencil in all my life!!! This was the first video i took in HD on the Sanyo. So forgive me for having to figure out the focus. I did not do any editing because I did not want any compression to the video. Actually I think it is only 720, but 60 frames per second which is why it looks so amazing. The first tv I hooked it up to was not even an hd tv, and it still looked amazing. I can not wait to start taking this thing on vacation. You must use the full-screen option to really enjoy the detail. You can not even get this good of picture in real life. Please comment and rate if you enjoy this!

  • why do you make it blur?

    Watever its an awesome cam!!!!

  • The blur is from me trying to figure out the marco mode. If you zoom in too far, any camera will blur. But yeah, it didn't take long for me to figure out how close I could get with the macro and it still focus.

  • Thats Awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1, I love that camera! Did you use the lence that comes with it or what did u use?

  • Yes that is the lense that came with the camera! Pretty awesome!

  • Wow, nice...Do u know what bitrate it records on 1920x1080??? And how many MP is it when taking still images???

  • I do not know about the bitrate? Not sure how i would find that out. But still pictures is 4 MP but the sensor somehow converts it as if it were 8 MP.

  • EPIC PENCIL

  • is this autofocus or manual

  • Love the images this camera creates, but hate having to go through the menu everytime I want to adjust focus, exposure or anything else. The autos aren't good enough in most situations and the manual controls are time consuming to use. Still, for a camera I take with me nearly EVERYWHERE it has been great for capturing some shots I would have otherwise missed in 1080 HD with a truly decent optical zoom. And at around $300 it was about 40% cheaper than anything else that came close.

  • haha
