  • i can't tell you how many of these videos on patching your jeans tell you, "just pop it in the sewing machine!" seriously, i want to patch my jeans. i don't have a sewing machine. in fact, if you're in the internet trying to figure out how to patch your jeans, you probably don't have a sewing machine. thanks for nothing, sewing community!

  • um, how do you fix jeans without a machine?

  • nice, that is exactly the same place as mine have gone, i bet the owner of those jeans was a mountain bike dude.

  • @spqrobert mighty putty...

  • My jeans rip because I bike a lot. Right now, it doesn't have a hole yet; it's just really soft and is about to tear. How do I mend it (by hand) before there's a hole?

  • Thank you, it's so helpful to have a "how to patch" video from someone who knows how to sew!

  • @spqrobert There are patches already made that are sold at fabric stores. Ask a salesperson, but they are usually sold in the Notions department. They are adhesive already. Follow the package directions. I suggest though that you hand sew around them but the adhesive tends to weaken after a few washes (or it always has for me.) Even simple running stitches will work. Everyone should know some basic hand sewing, its a survival skill. Look at About. com also for info.

  • 5 people already bought new jeans.

  • buy a new pair of jeans you poor bastards

  • @Tomfummel YOUR MY HERO <3

  • @BlueLykeJazz Indeed and I've got blisters on the inside of my thighs to prove it.
