Childish & Bullying Behavior - Texas State Board of Dental Examiners 11/19/10

Texas State Board of Dental Examiners President Dr. Purifoy needs to take a nap because he's obviously pretty grumpy. He condescends Dr. douglas Terry just for approaching The Board for his testimonial. Not only is Dr. Purifoy's excuse childish, but it is also a lie. Dr. Purifoy and Dr. Terry haven't spoken in over a year.

I have to agree with you smuzer02 he is most likely an excellent practitioner but not one to head a tribunial

The real issue is freedom of speech being ignored , really who are they?

Hate to say Dr P. is finding himself a victim of the same medicine he has been dishing out. If Dr. P expects practitioners to an impossible standard of care or standard of speech, and standard of charting, while giving others a free pass, then well...it's his own fault

This is sad. Is there anybody that actually cares about the state that wants to lead? Anybody that isn't hugging themselves too tightly or choking themselves with a SUPER DENTIST CAPE? I don't know Dr. P personally so I can't really judge what's going on here. The patient testimonials speak highly of him, so I'm assuming he's a great practitioner. These videos are interesting to say the least.

I have to disagree with making dentist post there settled violations on their advertisements. And the reason is in the latter part of his speech. These dentists who settled just settled, they did not agree with good ole boys findings. Case in point, the board member dentist would have no violations to speak of, but a female or foreigner (or just not a good ole boy) dentist would be crippled in marketing. This guy talking must be trying to get back some patients from better dentist with a fine

@marybaty1 The Governor must not think this is boring stuff, because he just appointed Dr. Tammy Gough as a presiding officer before Dr. Purifoy's term is up. I believe this is unprecedented!

@marybaty1 Dr. Terry lectured here in New York live with patients for two days in late November. I supposed you did not attend this meeting base on your comment. Dr. Terry will be teaching in London England in May 2011 at the Oral Design International Symposium. If you have an opportunity, you should go, it is better than "Must see TV"!

Dr. Terry is a great humanitarian first and foremost. He advocates for dental reform to raise awareness of abusing dentists who mistreated patients.
