Octopussy (1983) - Part 5-13. Full movie
Starring Roger Moore, Louis Jourdan, Maud Adams, Lois Maxwell, Kabir Bedi, Desmond Llewelyn
007 receives the usual call to come and visit "Mother" when another agent drops off a fake Faberge jeweled egg at the British embassy in East Berlin and is later killed at a traveling circus. Suspicions mount when the assistant manager of the circus Kamal (Louis Jourdan), outbids Bond for the real Faberge piece at Sotheby's. Bond follows Kamal to India where the superspy thwarts many an ingenious attack and encounters the antiheroine of the title (Maud Adams), an international smuggler who runs the circus as a cover for her illegal operations. It does not take long to figure out that Orlov (Steven Berkoff), a decidedly rank Russian general is planning to raise enough money with the fake Faberges to detonate a nuclear bomb in Europe and then defeat NATO forces once and for all in conventional warfare.

  • The scenes between 1:36 and 6:24 (best in Octopussy?) have romantic music, elegance, style and stuff that we never see in later Bond movies (feels like a dream!) :-)

  • "thats my little octopussy"....and the look afterwards could only have come from Roger Moore, classic. Funny without saying a word

  • it amuses me when he zooms in on the pretty ladies boobies haha

  • they don't make em' like this anymore - pure classic; roger moore rocks the screen!

  • Ugly face girl

  • @LONGOZZY Or maybe he's getting a clue.

  • 3:00

  • New Bond films have lots of romance! He loved Vesper! And in Quantum he went on a Bloodbath spree trying to avenge her.

  • I much rather prefer Bond films with more action than romance. I just cant understand why some people would rather see more romance and drama in a Bond film than action. I do find Roger Moore amusing, but he's still my least favorite Bond.

  • If I'd been that woman, after swooping down to the ground, I'd have looked up, seen how not-remotely-arsed Bond was and thought 'tracking device'.

  • @eugene680 I do agree with you, eugene680.

Since Bond was still getting over Vesper, they didn't really have him fall in love with anyone...(although, he DID sleep with Strawberry Fields...which, of course, wasn't really a romantic fling). And yes, QOS did seem to have continuous action....

Hopefully, the next Bond film will have a bit more romance in it...and drama.

  • I knew I forgot to mention it. I was refering to QOS, not CR. Yes, I love to scenes when he resign from Mi6 to be with Vesper. All QOS had was all action and no romance.
