  • well i think i get it. His name (being an issue that practically no one has) is meant for audiences to symbolize their own problems that they believe characterize them, but isn't something physical, like psychological problems. He blamed his father for it, but is able to realize that even though they are family (minus fits in equation) the father does not want him. This allows him to realize there are people who want him how he is

am i right? hope i am XD

Great video, just a bit cliche

    8.5/10

  • Although his name does not necessarily fit in with everyone else, or with his father's equation, in actuality the minus fits the equation and he realizes he too can fit into the real world.

lool is that an actual formula..the decision to make it about mathematics could be related to that actual formula... idk. For his name, i think Minus at first feels subtracted from the world and with the title "Plus Minus" which is saying +,- its the same as equaling out which is a metaphor to fitting in.

  • Holy cute! Jenna doesn't know what acting is. Minus is over acting. There's a contempt here that must stem from a bad script. I'm attracted to men with Aspergers burgers syndrome though. Minus shouldn't act 12 when he's 25. Canadian's need directing lessons or the VFS needs a directing class. Dial it in folks, tone it down, and let it flow. And, alas, more hetero-programming.

  • Holy cute!

  • wrong even!

  • The sound is amazing! Correct me if I'm wring but isn't the scene at the park shot in a dog park? Where was all the barking? Great Sound!

  • I know I'm beating a dead horse here, or perhaps feeding a dead horse, and in that case I'm wasteing food. Anyway, I just wanna say that I liked this short. So if by liking it I am an idiot that cant understand terrible, clunky dialogue or bad art. Then I guess I am, I don't care, Vancouverfilmcritic; grow up. Good work!

  • "Stylistic choice" as you call it, in this case, is a thin shroud to cover failure. I don't see anyone claiming anything to be perfect, or opinions being absolute, when you enter the realm of any artistic endeavor be ready for criticism from third parties, no one loves you as much as yourself. I wasn't aware my name was Vancouverfilmgenius? Wait, rather it's "critic", your mistake.

  • Vancouver film critic, you should go and learn about a thing called stylistic choice. No film is perfect, but no opinion is absolute, and no one should hold theirs to be so. Care to share any of your own creations? They must be excellent.

  • Yay for jump cuts!

  • Found a pro, which was an ordeal.

    1. The idea of a character named Minus = semi clever.

    I guess...
