Brookshire Grocery Company Donates to Hunger Action Month

Brookshire Grocery Company donates 37,000 pounds of food to the East Texas Food Bank in Tyler for Hunger Action Month during KLTV's "Good Morning East Texas". That will help provide over 28,000 meals for hungry East Texans.

"We feel it is part of our responsibility to help," Sam Anderson of Brookshire's Grocery Company said. "We try to get some items that the food bank wouldn't normally get."

Dennis Cullinane, Executive Director of the East Texas Food Bank says this donation will help restock the shelves in advance of upcoming programs after a busy summer. "We are so appreciative of Brookshire's for the donation. We've always been able to count on them, much like you can count on the great service in their stores."
