About the union? It's well over a year, and, I'm STILL waiting for a response from them from the "contact us" on the website. They're apparently just a bunch of self-centered pricks, and toughs.

Should make a 'use it or loose it' clause for striking. If their agreement comes to an end, and they're in a strike position... do it within 2 months... or loose the option. (this will lead to spring/summer strikes where the hostage taking by these TERRORISTS will not have as large an impact).

Remember, these poor folks have to go thru unimaginable stress in their daily jobs, work split shifts, and, now, have to actually work for the hours they're paied for... It's unconsionable that the City DARE take away the scheduling loopholes that allow them to work a week of double shifts, get paied overtime, then a week off, with their buddys doing the same they did. Imagine, having to work 8 hours a day to get paied for 8... instead of work 4 to get paied 8... It's completley unfair to them.

That's true, mostly the poor people with no cars or cars but no money to pay for the extra gas and the parking in crowded areas. These bus drivers will get what's coming to them. I think the politicians better concentrate on working this for the future, because I don't think another strike will be tolerated. Besides, why not strike in the summer? Did they have to do it in the winter? Such opportunists. They are cheap, they are like leetches who benefit off the bleeding of others.

Know what's gay? Living in rural. Being a student. Loosing your job cuz of gay-ass striker mobs who also make you miss your exams by protesting all over. Pay so much fuckin more than anyone else to have adequate bus transportation, and they won't even return us our buses - so what bloody use is it to provide discounts and whatnots when everyone unilaterally gets the same benefits. Fuck buses, fuck drivers, fuck the city, and fuck those non tax paying hippies getting better discounts than me.

The people who ride the bus are generally the working poor, the elderly etc. They are the people who got hurt by this. Talked to a taxi driver the other day. He told me about all the working poor people who had to take taxis who couldn't afford it. I heard about old ladies walking in minus 30 degree temps to see their doctors etc. That is what I will remember. I will never forget it. Fuckin' union.
