Oh, please don't tell me they're going to replase Spaceship Earth, too! It was bad when they killed off this ride, and even worse when they butchered Figment's Journey Through Imagination by 'updating' it! So they'd be making a huge mistake in closing Spaceship Earth! The'll just destroy more of the original charm of Disney World! They'd might as well tear down Cinderella's Castle while they're at it!

When companies sponsor any rides at Disney, they pay Disney money to sponsor it. The companies, like Delta could no longer afford to keep paying Disney to sponsor their attraction, or felt it was no longer in thier interest to sponsor it, so they stopped doint it.  Even now, AT&T dropped their sponsorship of Spaceship Earth.

Weird that they muted the vocals of some of the songs that don't even say the word "Delta", yet they kept the one where they mention "Delta" at the end.

As I know it, Delta dropped sponsorship come 1996, because they went on to sponsor the 1996Summer Olympics in Atlanta. A few months afterwards, Dreamflight became Take Flight later in '96, and then closed in 1998 to make the Buzz Lightyear ride.
