Tilos Traditional Dancing

Shot in 2001 during a trip to Greece. Warning: the audio is poor, you may want to turn the volume down. Please use higher resolution option to view on your player window. The settings on my cam were unchanged from previous recording thus the turned up audio causing distortion. I had been shooting footage in the plane, specifically a friend speaking. In addition, I had never owned a camera before, my machine was a newly acquired purchase and I had no idea about settings or white balance as I only owned it for about 4 days by this stage. I literally recorded this during a panigiri as soon as I arrived in the country and blame jet lag along with tiredness for my distraction. The plane almost crashed that day too, LOL that's a different story ... I haven't colour corrected this, not that I could help the overexposure much, but the editor in me couldn't resist some transitional changes. Sound can't be saved unfortunately. The video shows traditional dancing from the island Tilos. Nikos (Kapnoulas) is the man in the lead or mporstari as we call it, wonderful dancer and simpatrioti abroad (NY). The funny thing is I couldn't dance even an Ikariotiko properly that night because I had been beating my feet on the pebble stone courtyard fiercely and my soles were heavily bruised.
