George Smith Patton, Jr. (also George Smith Patton III) (November 11, 1885 December 21, 1945) was a United States Army officer most famous for his leadership commanding corps and armies as a general in World War II. He was also widely known for his controversial outspokenness and strong opinions.

@XKill92 how ike put bradley in charge of the d-day landings is a great mystery. if patton had been in charge the war WOULD have been over by xmas 44.

Absolutely one of the greatest generals of WW2 and of all American history. Little wonder that he was the only Allied general that Hitler was afraid of.

ok than, I guess if there was never a cold war, than there never was the holucost. alot of people died durring the cold war. and the cold war is not over, look at whats going on today in this world.

Patton fought wars the classical way. He understood that men are self serving, they fight for themselves, and political friendships break easily. Had Patton been in control at the end of WW2, not only would there not have been a Cold War, the USA would own western Russia.
