Love your recipes. Taste is truly out of this world. Tips for others.
1) My cake took only 25 to 30 mins to bake and that too on 325F (first time it burnt when I used 40 mins setting), so it really depends on your oven, so start checking on the cake after 20 mins by inserting a toothpick
2) Cut the dates into small pieces after soaking for 30 to 45 mins and then grind them. This way it will use very little water and you will be able to grind easily.

Can I use the dates as a whole without grinding them ?Will I get the same taste of the cake and the same texture?

tried two of ur cake recipes the texture of good, but the problem was my cake had a hump and crack in the middle both the recipes had same problem can u plz tell me what could be wrong i followed the same measurement

I couldn't get baking powder. When i tried in malls, the guy in the counter said that both baking soda and powder are same and if you are using it for baking either one is fine. Is there any substitute to baking powder

Baking powder and soda both contain sodium bicarbonate, however, the powder has added cream of tartar and corn starch. Please see our Tip Tuesday video "Baking Soda vs Baking Powder" for details.

can i whip the mixture in the mixer, before i mix the walnuts??????????Cause whenever i make a cake it's not fluffy.I just never get the sponge in my cake :(

This cake is not meant to be as spongy as regular white cake...it is a little denser. In our opinion, we'd skip the mixer part.
