Beyond Freud

Sigmund Freud "figured out" the workings of the human mind but he couldn't get his head around the Irish! Also, recently in the film The Departed Matt Damon's character said, "I don't know, being Irish, maybe it's that we are to complex to analyze?"

This story involves a journey from the inside to the outside and back again as 16 year old Dearbhla does her make-up in the morning. We watch her attitude change and become more grown up as she applies more and more make-up and tells us about this art form she is continuously perfecting. Does the transition from girl to woman happen during the artful application of a mask?
