The First Prize winner in our Nineteenth Annual Video Contest for College Students, "Darius Goes West: The Roll of His Life," by Logan Smalley, a special education major at the University of Georgia College of Education, documents the cross-country trip organized by a group of young men for their friend Darius, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The trip offered Darius, who had never left his home state, new experiences - and also offered an opportunity to educate the public about his eventually fatal disorder.
