23:05 Emmaus Station 7 went out for a structural box at South 10th and Furnace Streets. PD reported heavy fire showing from about two blocks away.

Chief 7-02 transmitted the second alarm immediately upon receiving the additional from PD.

7-02 ordered the first engine to hit the bulk of the fire with the deck gun. Once on scene, the FD found a 6-bay one-story garage / work shop of a fuel business fully-involved. All companies were using their largest lines.

Bulk of the fire was knocked down well over an hour into the call. Crews found a tanker truck burning inside and 12,000 gallons of fuel running into the sewer system. Lehigh County Haz-Mat 42 was notified to respond.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries.
