Free associations are seemingly random, intuitive, uncensored, and spontaneous thoughts that are triggered by stimuli, and which lack a specified agenda.

A New York-based improvised music group rooted firmly in the tradition of Albert Ayler, Ornette Coleman, and Art Ensemble of Chicago that deconstructs conventional musical forms to relay raw ideas and create pure sonic images.

Combining elements of avant-jazz, hip-hop, folk and rock music in a unique quartet configuration. "Broadminded drummer Tiffany Chang" (Time Out New York) leads this intrepid, elastic group of young musicians in creating a series of pure sonic images through spontaneous and intuitive composition.
