'Let us love our God supremely, let us love each other too.' 'Holy Manna' is an old-time favorite, often used to open a day of singing at shape note coventions. As recorded at the 14th Annual Harrod's Creek Shape Note Singing, Brownsboro KY, April 26th, 2009.

  • One of my most beloved Primitive Baptist preachers wouldn't start the sermon until this song was sung. Beautiful.

  • In memory and great admiration for Mr. Bill Clark, past choir director of my home church. He always sang this on special occasions, and sometimes just because. And every time he would sing it, smiles would be on every face in the congregation. He could make the toes tap on those Sunday shoes sitting in the pews.

  • This actually works wonderfully as well if you take the melody and use it as a canon.

  • Spine-tingling!

  • This is my favorite hymn! Thanks so much for posting this... so beautiful.
