Credit Card Companies and the economic crisis

How are Canadian credit card companies treating you during this economic crisis.. Will they increase your interest rates, service fees, or perhaps decrease your credit limit for their own purposes?

I spoke to American Express in Canada to talk about my own credit card and got an answer that I wasn't expecting.. They've increased my interest rate, even though I have excellent credit.

How will you know if the Canadian credit card companies are doing the same thing to you?

The credit card companies policies are going to cause their downfall. The only reason they're raising interest is GREED, they are already making tons of money off current rates. This will result in more credit card defaults and cancellations. Then they will ask congress for another bailout.
