  • @Shintsu2 I was an avid RPer back in those days and dial-up AOL RP chats were only thing I had until I built my own computer and started playing online games. Great innovations back in those days.

  • @visionimagify I started out on MS-DOS - I think 5.0 when I was about 5 (Remember starting so many games from DOS). Then I seem to remember a brief period of windows 3.1 and the next one I used for a while was Win 95. I don't miss dial up (Stupid telemarketers knocking me out of my games), but the sound was cool. Hah, we never had any part in AOL, but we're tech savvy and no offense but AOL was pretty much for stupid people (We used Bellsouth dial up I think) - like Internet Lite edition.

  • @Shintsu2 LMAO. Rise of the Triad was the shiznit. Played the demo on my very old computer. It was a windows ME and it gave me headaches. Still have the thing. Going to gut it this weekend and try to do something with the parts. But man, those were the days. I miss dial-up, AOL RP chat and everything else back in the early 00s. Made you really appreciate gaming. Nowadays, you can't find anything memorable.

  • @visionimagify Yep, makes me sad that I can't play most of them on this computer (Win 7 64-bit is not nice to old games...). I still have all my games I played as a kid, Duke Nukem 3D, Blakestone, X-COM UFO Defense, Raptor, Constructor, Rise of the Triad, the list goes on...

  • @Shintsu2 Makes me cry thinking about the WONDERfUL games back then. Why?!! WHY!!!

  • @aquafin11 They still exist now, they co-publish the earthworm jim remakes
