The FPS are Average FPS for the most part unless noted. A few of the Avg FPS for 0 xAA I wasn't able to post since I just recorded the FPS for 4xAA.

  • 3D & aero score was kind of weird but thanks for the bench scores as soon there drop the price will be getting one

  • @oOADROo yeah I just threw in the 3D and Aero scores for giggles, thought some people might want to know. I don't think the price is going to go down too much, probably to $150 and stay there for months, anyway if you can hold out, do so..

  • @VincentX202 Aye it is certainly an improvement and was just hoping to get it to at least 900Mhz Core, but I'll settle for this for now since Furmark is running stable at this overclock. Yeah I think I remember somewhere I read about changing the config file in msi afterburner. I'll hold off on doing that later and get some burn-in time. It literally plays Farcry 2 like butter when it before it was just struggling at 4xAA Max Details. Anyway, thanks for the help, later...

  • @VincentX202 but ultimately if you're happy with stock performance or even 850 just leave it @that

really huge diff from your previous card anyway :]

  • @blacksteel25 i would aim for a 950 on the core, easily achievable, memory i wouldn't go higher than 1150

if msi afterburner is hitting 850 that means the card is is limited but if you open up Afterburners config file ".cgf" and change "EnableUnofficialOverclocking" 0 to 1 you can then go higher, of course need to bump the volts just a tad, its not much, the cards run 3 clocks meaning it wont always run @ those freq

plus the heatsink wont let it get over 80c, which still would be safe

  • @VincentX202 You mentioned overclocking, I've successfully able to overclock the 6850 from 775/850 core and 1000/1100 memory and thats all I've done so far. The core overclock I've hit a wall with MSI afterburner, won't allow me to go past 850 core. Anyway I've gained about 3-5% performance from it. I'll read up on the afterburner program to see what I need to do to go higher. The Sapphire Trixx program is a pain to get and only available to people who register their Sapphire video card.

  • @codebean yup, I'm happy.

  • Nice performance increase you must be happy with the purchase.

  • @blacksteel25 oh stock cooling, i figured you had a decent aftermarket cooler considering 775 now has a huge selection of coolers really cheap

but your right some just dont wanna mess with volts
