Popular ballots and similar is just a way of trying to circumvent the senate/parliament/what have you to get your way by playing straight the tyranny of the majority card. Basically, you're saying 'Look, we had a ballot and 53% of the people said they want to shoot Ana's dog (just as en example, don't get excited) - it's gotta be done!'
This is why we have legislative bodies, folks - the majority isn't always right, but we can hope that people elected to govern at least are right more often.

READ THIS: First of all, no matter what view one takes on the issue of divorce, it is important to remember Malachi 2:16: “I hate divorce, says the LORD God of Israel.” According to the Bible, marriage is a lifetime commitment. “So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Matthew 19:6). This comes fromthe bible, Do yo agree with it or not. YES or NO ??

I'd like to ban marriage, or at least legal marriage. I'm serious. Marriage is a religious sacrament. We should have civil unions for any two consenting adults, but marriage should not be a state issue. I understand that we have legal marriage because there are benefits to society, so that's why civil unions should be enacted. Marriage is a religious issue, not a state one. But, then again, I'm just a crazy lib.

According to Bible teachings (new testament), divorce is a sin. Christians knowingly ignore it. Christians are very wicked and sick cult demons.
