It's so sad that people like myself who grew up in the 1970's have had to say good bye to so many family members, friends and childhood idols. It makes you wonder what we're really supposed to do with our time on earth. Are we supposed to go crazy knowing the futility of it all?? Are we supposed to run to God and pray every minute? Do we quit our jobs because it’s all so useless anyway and get stoned out of our minds instead? Need an answer.

"Seasons in the Sun" is an English-language adaptation of the 1961 song Le Moribond (meaning "the dying man") by Belgian singer-songwriter Jacques Brel with lyrics by American singer-poet Rod McKuen. I had this Terry Jacks version of the song on a 45 in the early 70s. I remember listening to it a lot, and it always brings back those memories.
