    Thanks - but the clip you mention is the car's owner / driver - Roy Smart. I help with the maintenance / electrics on the car and get to compete / drive it from time-to-time...

  • @ThommoHawk Awesome! I watched that news clip about your helicopter and GT40 story lol very nice! I'm interested in building a GT40 with a lightweight quick revving drive-train like that. I have seen many for sale with just crate 427's or 347's that just aren't right for the car. I believe it has to explode into action like yours or it just sounds off. Too much like a domestic street car. I was disappointed when they came out with the new GT with 5.4 it doesn't scream the way it should.

    It has a very light flywheel and small triple-plate clutch pack - so less inertia to spin up.
