It shows 5 p2p(P2P, Pay-to-play, pay 2 play) mmorpg games in my opinion.
1)Lineage 2
Lineage II is one of the most popular MMORPG's in Korea, though not as much in America.
The game revolves around hack n' slash, but it does have a fishing system. The game has a large grind (repeatedly killing monsters in the same spot to level up). It doesn't have that much quests, though it does have a decent array of races and classes. The classes will branch out into other ones after reaching a certain level.
The game is updated through "chronicles" which are like expansions packs, except they are free.
I never liked it much because of the repetitive grind.
2) Final fantasy XI(FFXI)
The second best fantasy MMORPG after WoW with a quality story, great game play, and large subscriber numbers.
3)City of heroes/city of villains(COX)
City of Heroes is a MMORPG that allows the player to start of as a powerful superhero. The player can then become ever more powerful by leveling up. It is eye-catching and easy to use, unlike some other MMO's. It also allows large, fast fights.
However, it seems as if the only thing one can do in the game is killing hordes of enemies. It would not keep a player interested for a long time, if they look for something other than fighting.
Also, with the expansion pack, City of Villains, the player can play the opposite of a superhero; they play as a super villain. Even with this, core gameplay styles are still the same; killing hordes of enemies, just different ones.
4)Dark age of camelot
Has usually been one the best major MMORPG for PvP combat due to its 3 realm system. Also, DAOC has remained one of the steadiest MMORPGs over the years in terms of quality. However, the game is starting to show its age and other MMOs have incorporated similar or better PvP systems.
5)Rose online
Former free MMO that is now pay-to-play. Unlike most MMORPGs, players can actually affect the outcome of the game.
