Peak Moment 175: What kind of life do you want, and what are you willing to do to get it? Author Keith Farnish sees industrial civilization as the most destructive way of living yet devised by humans. And it's over: environmental degradation and depletion tell us it can't continue. The system has myriad ways to make us believe we can't live without it. But Keith believes we can - there are countless ways to move forward into contented, happy, and full lives. We can "disengage" and reconnect with the natural world, ourselves, and others. (www.unsuitablog.com, www.theearthblog.org)

  • Talk about a writer who doesn't know how to use words, can't express himself, and has the thought-speed of snail... When you are so incoherent that the interviewer has to put words into your stupid mouth just so the viewers can get a vague idea of what you are mumbling about: it is time to click off this video and decide to NOT buy his book. I know 3rd graders who can think faster than he can and talk better than he can..

  • @turak0, Don't write off the book without reading it (free on the internet). Especially if you find the ideas intriguing. not everyone who writes well can speak comfortably. I've been to many an author's lecture and found them far better as writers than presenters.

  • @ammachi3 Thank you.

  • @turak0 Good questions deserve good answers, that's called respect, and I respect Janaia greatly.

  • Peak Moment TV is categorically the best video series around that discuses’ all the important issues today. They are second to absolutely none. Such a great variety of opinions and slants and so many diverse topics...wonderful...bountiful...profound and above all inspiring for us all, as they show that we can live in a different more Earth friendly manner.

  • @ 23:00 "we don't need money in-between. We don't need interest. We don't need corporations gaining profit. " I love it!!! He’s is so right. The way we operate is totally insane and ridiculous it’s actually probably a really live miracle that we got this far with such an absurd mode of living!!!

  • It is do or die, sink or swim, we must change our way of living on Earth or perish while potentially bringing down many other living beings with us. It is a very serious situation and one that requires a high degree of maturity and sense of responsibility if we are to make adequate changes in time.

  • what this man says is a very accurate and simple cimmentary on how the a lot of people live in todays world. Its sad, but its the stark truth. I hope more people can become informed enough through meduims like Peak Moment TV to that they can have the courage to change to a low-impact, self-sufficant and localised mode of living on Earth. One that is based on real and close raltionship to the people and planetary life supporting systems we have around us.

  • wish i was there -beautiful birds and trees nice ideas -cheers*

  • @matchbox555 I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you *can* be a decent person, though the "gay" slur was unpleasant. All I have to say on the means by which we are made to behave in certain ways is in my new book, "Underminers". Search for "underminers chapter 2" on Google, that will take you there. K.
