Trailer for Australian thriller Snowtown.

Based on the true story of serial killer John Bunting, who along with coerced associates, murdered 12 people in South Australia between 1992 and 1999.

Known as the 'Bodies in the Barrels' murders, Bunting and his associates killed victims at various locations over South Australia, storing them in barrels filled with hydrochloric acid.

Before he killed his victims, he would have them record answer phone messages for their friends and family. During the investigation, these became known as 'the voices of the dead'.

In early 1999, Bunting moved the barrels to a disused bank vault in Snowtown, a small quiet town 145km outside Adelaide.

Attracting the attention of police, the vault was raided, and shortly after the horrific discovery of 8 bodies in 6 barrels in Snowtown became one of Australia's worst serial murder cases in history.

Taking the point of view of young, impressionable Bunting associate Jamie Vlassakis, who later turned star witness for the prosecution, the film focuses on several of the murders, as Bunting charms and intimidates his way into the lives of future associates, and future victims.

This movie was so good, im from adelaide and the places they show on film bring back flashbacks of when i was young going past snowtown on the highway and the sailsbury overpass. Great chilling film probably my favourite! 5/5!!!

Yeah hey, well few weeks ago I was talking about it and I found out one of my friends her uncle sold one of the killers the panel van that they used to transfer the bodys in the barrels up to snow town.

Thats fucked up dude, I'm not 100% sure I don't really believe it but apparently a mate or an old mate his brother was one of the killers. I don't know if I believe him but he sure knew a lot of about what happened.

Whats scary for me is I lived one street away from one of them and I remember as an early teen riding my push bike home from a mates place and a couple guys in a car scream down the street screaming shit out at me like there gonna get me. So I took a short cut through the alley way and they went around the long way and were still after me. But made It back to my house before i found out what it was they wanted. Can't be sure it was them probably never will just glad I wasn't part of it

@issm I'm not sure about your formula theory considering it's based on a true story. Do some quick research about the Snowtown murders (the Bodies in the barrells case for you South Australians) and you'll see that so far this film is pretty close to the sick truth of what actually happened.
