A boyish figure is easy to dress: It's the shape high-fashion designers create for! Here's how to maximize the impact.

To complete this How-To you will need:

Low-rise pants
Shapely tops
Full and pencil skirts
A bathing suit with boy shorts and a triangle top
Horizontal stripes
Low-rise pants
Shapely tops
Full and pencil skirts
A bathing suit with boy shorts and a triangle top
Horizontal stripes

Step 1: Wear low-rise pants and jeans to create a little curve, and choose ones with big back pockets to add a little booty. Flared or boot cut bottoms will also provide shape to your silhouette.

Step 2: Choose dresses and jackets that will fake an hourglass figure, like ones with curved seams, nipped-in waists, and belts.

Tip: Add even more dimension with horizontal stripes.

Step 3: Wear tops that add bulk via pleats, ruching, and ruffles. Halter tops and cowl necklines distract from a stick straight figure by adding visual interest on top.

Step 4: Fill out the lower half of your body with A-line and pleated skirts, or wear a pencil skirt to show off your thin hips.

Step 5: For beachwear, go with boy shorts or a skirted bottom and a lightly padded triangle top with a few ruffles or flounces. If you prefer a one-piece, look for an accent that defines the waist, like a sash, stripe, belt, or side panels in a contrasting color.

  • @dukle1562 no!!! your slimmer than me on the hips!!! and im far from overwight or anything..no i dont like the way i look, but who does!

  • in order to be an hourglass, your hips actually have to be a bit smaller than your bust. 34-24-32 for example, would be an hourglass shape.

  • Lol those are my measurements. Though they fluctuate a bit depending on if I'm at school or at home.

  • @Sewblon woahhh, speak for yourself bro. It's good for women to look good and you know have a little pride in what they wear, but i wouldn't say letting yourself go is the right way. Shit even guys don't do that, We're out to look good for women, and they're out to look good for us guys. However...its kind of scary that women can change their figure and appearance with just make-up and clothes...

  • lol why am I watching this? I'm 33 25 35

  • Someone needs to say this. To any women who think that this is in anyway necessary to impress men, it is not. Our standards are not that high. I wouldn't even mind dating a pile of depleted uranium.

  • Is it bad if I'm a 40 32 39??? I'm in my younger ish teens and I think my hips r soo ugly and fat!

  • Lol wjhy did click this...

  • Ojj... where is Sudoku ?!
