@Blender3danimator ok :-)
-
Luxrender slowly gets less grainy over time. I only have 15 samples per pixel for each frame in this animation.
-
looks really grainy, is luxrender always like that? i havent used it
-
Sadly, because luxrender doesn't use gpu, about 5 days or so =(((

luxrender is unfortunately really buggy, so i dont use it. Just because of those dots
Blinkwing 2 years ago
It's not buggy lol, it's the way it works dude =P Luxrender's image quality gets better over time. Unbiased goes by real mathematical equations to achieve the correct lighting. Thus it takes forever, and slowly increases image quality over time by slowly refining the image with those equations.

@Blender3danimator its an insult to me that you have such bad opinons about me (you think im a noob -.-).
When you look at one frame for example: the glassy cube has white dots on it.
Thats what is annoying

Lol, I'm sorry Blink, I talk like that to my friends. I really didn't want to insult you, I swear. I know what you mean now though. They appeared because I had a high specularity. Sorry again =)

wow! that's cool. the lighting is cool, i guess that's what you get when you use that rendering engine. Five days? ouch! It would be cool if you could set a room full of computers up, to crank out thirty seconds of this. You should set up a user group that renders movies, that would be cool. (not necessarily Lux)

Thanks gyro. Yea, the five days took a toll on my laptop. I think it gained some stamina lol =P I wish I could set up a user group that renders movies.
