A lot of people have been discussing this scene and I thought it would be helpful to have it on here as a refference. Melissa Leo is the greatest. Thanks for watching the show.

You're the reason why nobody takes feminism seriously.

    Isn't that just fucking amazing!

If a woman rapes a man it is still his fault because he did not fight back.

You fucking moron, you just don't get it!

Does it not occur to you that just because a man is stronger does not mean that he will use physical violence - I guess you must be a woman.

Poor Louie! Reduced to eat an unwanted taco after having his head smacked against the glass :)

Well, I guess if your criteria for abuse involves utterances over the singular negative word, you won't mind me calling you a cunt.

Contextual clues are fun. My original comment referenced a feminist 'journalist', who's writing on rape in entertainment seems to be contradictory. The point you brought up in response was stupid, and uninformed, hence the 'idiot' comment. Perhaps I should have just called your point stupid, but now we're just getting finicky with our language.

I also wouldn't call one utterance of the word 'idiot', "Abuse". Especially considering the platform we're communicating on.

Except that the guy making the comment is a man and definitely not feminist.

Just one more point, Ryne. Reaching understanding between people can be a clumsy process, and that can require time and patience to achieve. How can it be healthy to deal with the world by immediately launching into name calling once you feel misunderstood? I like irony, so the fact that you seemed to be attempting to express empathy for all victims of rape, and then followed it up by abusing one person for what you thought was one misunderstanding is very appealing to me. Lighten up, bud.

Fight ~ Resist. It's not always the same but in this scenario, it is. Louis was raped. That's about all there is to it. Louis has never shyed from the fact that he turns whatever he wants into a joke, and I like his style of humor. So I find this scene funny, regardless of the connotation. Would it be different with a woman? Sure. Would it be different with a gun? Sure. All of the scenarios are rape though.
